Today we have released a service update of all the Dynamo Components. This is a mandatory update, that fixes known issues with the components as well as some feature enhancements.

This update fixes the following issues:

1. IMPORTANT: When you enable tracing on the synchronization service from a CRM system in a Time Zone less than GMT (ex: GMT -8), the service will enter an infinite loop.
2. When you use the "Connect with CM" button on a Marketing List, the security settings will automatically switch between normal and enhanced security.

Enhancements to installation and updating:

1. Dynamo will now automatically unblock the Service ZIP Files and CRM Solution ZIP files, when downloading and updating Connectors
2. The Synchronization Service component installation and upgrade will now activate the MSI Installer, asking for elevated permissions, which allows non-administrators to perform installations and upgrade.

Enhancements to synchronization:

1. The CMCRM Connector is now using an advanced caching mechanism, that will determine which caching strategy to use, when synchronizing very large campaigns and marketing lists. The caching is determined per. list/campaign basis, which allows each connected list and campaign to synchronize as fast as possible based on a vararity of parameters.

An error introduced in version 2.0.0.6 has just been discovered and fixed. If you are using either CMCRM Version 2.0.0.6 or Version 2.0.0.7, this is a mandatory update. Download version 2.0.0.8 here.

You will only see the error if your deployment contains the following conditions:

• You are synchronizing Marketing Lists with the List Member type "Contact" or "Lead"
• One or more of the Contacts/Leads in the Marketing list does not have both a first name or last name registrered

If your deployment contains both of the conditions above, you should apply the update immidiately. The Website components does not need the update, only the CMCRM Synchronization Service. To Update follow these steps:

1. Download the Version 2.0.0.8 Package
2. Unzip the CMCRMService ZIP File
3. Stop the Synchronization Service and run the Installation File. It will Automatically update the needed components
4. Start the Synchronization Service again

We just released an update to CMCRM For Dynamics CRM 4.0.

This is a recommended Update Release that will update your CMCRM Synchronization service to Version 2.0.0.7. The updated service contains the following changes:

• The behavior on name resolution has been changed to just send and resolve to first name and last name
• CMCRM will work-around the issue where a campaign subject is being dublicated by the CM API
• We added a fix for an error you receive, if you have more than 64 Campaigns or Marketing Lists linked to CM
• We added the ability to tweek how many jobs the synchronization service is allowed to run in parallel, which means you can control how many resources the service is allowed to consume on the server.

Update process

You only need to update the synchronization service. The CRM Website extensions has not been changed in this release.

For the first time we have had to push back a software release after we have finalized the release date. We apologize for all

Here is the reason why

We have wanted to focus our energy and efforts on creating great standard software for Sales, Marketing and Commerce, for a long time - and that time has now arrived.

In October 2011 we sold all our consulting activities in the public/private sector, our Software Framework Silk Software Foundation, as well as the attached customer base, to KMD A/S - The biggest company operating in the public sector in Denmark.

Re-launching Applications A/S

We have spent quite some time re-launching and re-aligning ourselves to the new situation, and to ensure a smooth transition of customers and the existing consultancy business to KMD A/S.

This, unfortunately, has caused our deadlines to be pushed back, but we really do hope, you will think it has been worth the wait after all!

2012 - A new beginning

We are launching a bunch of cool stuff:

• A new re-branded website (in English!) with lots
  of information
• An entirely  new lineup of software products for marketing,
  sales and commerce that we have been planning and designing over the past 2
  years.
